John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) is one of the largest international airports in the United States and the main airport of New York City, serving more than 59 million passengers per year. It is located in the borough of Queens, about 15 miles (24 km) from Manhattan, and consists of six main terminals.
Terminals
Terminal 1: Serves international flights from several airlines.
Terminal 2: Primarily used by Delta Air Lines for domestic and some international flights.
Terminal 4: An international terminal that includes many airlines such as Emirates, Lufthansa and Korean Air. It is considered one of the most modern terminals and offers a wide range of shops and restaurants.
Terminal 5: Served by JetBlue Airlines, offering both domestic and international flights.
Terminal 7: Serves international flights from British Airways and other airlines.
Terminal 8: Served by American Airlines and several other airlines, offering both domestic and international flights.
Transport links
AirTrain JFK: This light rail system connects the terminals and provides access to underground and railway stations. AirTrain provides access to Howard Beach Station (A line) and Jamaica Station (E, J and Z lines), as well as to the terminals.
Taxi and Ride Services: Taxis are available at each terminal, and a trip into Manhattan typically costs between $60 and $75 (including bridge and tunnel tolls). Uber and Lyft services are also available.
Buses: Local and express buses connect the airport to various parts of New York City and nearby cities.
Services and facilities
Restaurants and Shops: JFK has a wide range of restaurants, cafes and shops including both local and international brands.
Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.
VIP lounges: The airport offers several lounges of varying comfort levels for passengers of different airlines.
Passenger Services: Include currency exchange, car hire services, medical services and mother and baby rooms.
